Lyrics:
Humanity, a dying dream like a carcass withering
Suffering is the only guarantee
Beckoning our own extinction, we believe
In false hopes worth nothing
Human nature, we live and die just to suffer
Lost composure, witness the burden of our failures
Choking on our aspirations, we deny
Any mistakes that we have failed to right
Afflicted by a curse we all call life
Ensnared by the void for all time
Human nature, we live and die just to suffer
Lost composure, witness the burden of our failures
The Only Constant is Suffering

Idealized Isolation
07:30
|
|||
Lyrics:
Drowning out the world
And my fellow man
The silence comforts me
Lust for solitude, my disease
Their eyes meet with mine
And spite burns inside
I am a ghost
Condemned to my design
As I wallow in my void
Free from their hateful ways
I cannot help but feel empty
No one will look for me
No one will know my pain
Trapped within this idealized isolation
Words I wish to say
But will not escape me
Losing my grasp on my thoughts
Locked behind my cage
As I wallow in my void
Free from their hateful ways
I cannot help but feel empty
No one will look for me
No one will know my pain
Trapped within this idealized isolation
The voices deafening me
Tearing from reality
Are humans worth more than their ills?
Or is life only darkness?
Surrender to the unrest
Cursed to dwell in idealized isolation

The Degenerate Era
03:38
|
|||
Lyrics:
We cannot fathom our place in the cosmos
We are just grains of sand in the sea of time
Someday our sun will never rise again
While the astral plane remains unchanged
The degenerate era
Life in the blink of an eye
Realize we are infinitely small
And our kind serves no purpose
Meaningless, adrift in the grand design
It will breathe long beyond your death
We are damned by own our self-centrism
Escalating our suffering to obscene scales
All of this strife just to be forgotten
Reality lives on as though we were never here
Demise, cleanse our vanity
Humankind, a faint memory
Realize we are infinitely small
And our kind serves no purpose
Meaningless, adrift in the grand design
It will breathe long beyond your death

Insanity
06:06
|
|||
Lyrics:
Endless corridors, structures repeating
Every direction leading nowhere
Halls filled with spectres, foul apparitions
Labyrinthine mind, a cold, dark prison
Walls start to melt away to reveal
Grotesque depictions of death and horror
Bloodsoaked, dripping planes of reality
Disappear into this hellish nightmare
The onset of insanity has begun
Internal screams beg you to succumb
Cerebral fabric has come undone
From this hell, you cannot run
Descending ever down into the abyss
Discordant murmurs filling your thoughts
Unholy madness claims your soul
Left to rot alone, consciousness fading
The onset of insanity has begun
Internal screams beg you to succumb
Cerebral fabric has come undone
From this hell, you cannot run

A Cold, Dark, Iron Husk
06:19
|
|||
Long after man's demise, our existence, all but a worthless blink in the eye of time, a dying universe, increasingly empty, cold, and dark approaches entropy. Bodies born before our arrival, remaining after our departure, slowly decay into the void. The final dance in death's cycle. An ever-vast expanse, once so full of elegance, one we considered immortal, stripped of its significance. The last stars dim and wither, the furnaces of creation burn out, becoming lesser matter. The final sun fizzles in this realm, this realm of no warmth, no light, and no life.
Humanity long forgotten, the only fleeting reminder of the living cosmos are cold, dark, iron husks.
